I have 2x1Gb (KVR400X64C3AK2/2G) Kingston ValueRam installed running at DDR400, dual channel, 128 bit. I had 2 x512 Kingston (KVR400X64C3A/512)ValueRam that I installed with the 2Gb. When I boot up the bios shows the 3Gb, but running at DDR333, dual channel, 128 bit. The device manager only shows 2Gb. The bios shows the ram as CL2.5 when all of them are CL3. If I change the bios to CL3 then when I boot up the bios screen shows, but windows will not boot. Anyone have any idea what is wrong and what I need to do to get them all running at DDR 400 dual channel 128bit. Thanks for your help and responses in advance.

it is normal for the the system to revert to 166/333 divider. try bumping the vdimm .1v, save and exit. then return to the bios and set the ram to 200/400.

if you still have a problem, try bumping the vcore up a notch. the memory controller is in the cpu.

it will be a good idea to run memory86 and prime95 to check stability.

use cpuz to verify your memory in windows. make sure you have the memory sets in the correct slots.
