Inquirer alert:
"XBox 360 overhaul come August
BD player, new graphics chip
ACCORDING TO KNOW-IT-ALL EDN newspaper in China, Pegatron Technology ([bar steward] offspring of Asustek, in case you’re wondering), has managed to grab the highly-denied “Blu-Ray for Xbox360” deal of the year."

Nothing really handy then. Shame.
Still no settings for using LCD monitors that I could detect. Unless thats the calibration bit?

This article http://www.gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=182288 which my Shacknews article points to flatly denies that exact rumor.
Then I didn't see you'd replied. Doh. |

Microsoft has refuted the list of supposed Xbox 360 software update details that recently began floating around the internet.
"We don't comment on rumors or speculation, but what we can tell you is we've never seen this list before," a company representative told Joystiq. |

I'm still considering getting an Assassins Creed skin but every time I'm about to snag it I think about the other places my money could go
Maybe soon, though |

MS to delist XBLA titles, no spring update, tool to re-license content coming :-
| Quote: |
Whitten also told us that there would be no spring dashboard update for Xbox 360 owners this year, saying that resources were instead focused on “building the proper infrastructure and scale for the service.” There will however be a change to DRM policy and a tool released next month that will allow 360 owners to re-license content to a single console—finally fixing the issue that forced gamers playing XBLA games to be connected to Xbox LIVE if their 360 broke down and was replaced.

I totally agree with you now, especially if it's true that the updates have ground to a halt. At least there should be the Jasper respin to come, so I might pick on of those up to replace my original model (still going strong btw..!).
I just hope that they spend a bit more time on the hardware quality of the new successor, I can't imagine that they would like to be bitten in the ass twice. |
