According to rumors on various web boards EPOX has gone belly up. I tried calling the US headquarters and the phone has been disconnected.

I hate to see this, I have owned several EPOX boards over the years and they have always been stable and good OC'ers.

Sad indeed. Here's hoping they can reestablish themselves and hit the ground running under the new 'Supox' brand. Here's a bit from X-bit labs:

Quote:
According to rumours around the Internet, once famous mainboard maker Epox has went out of business and its employees flee to form the new company named Supox. Epox has been struggling to survive for a long time and it is not a big surprise that it is gone now.

“With more than 15-year experience in computer industry field, our strong R&D team incorporates innovation and new technology in designing products. Our overclocking capability is well known among motherboard enthusiasts. And in addition to enhancing the performance, stability and cost-effectiveness are our values and keys to success,” the new company describes itself, which once again implies that Supox is not a totally new player on the market.

Supox sounds like a cross between Chicken Pox and Poison Sumac Laughing

Greetings!

EVGA has the Epox motherboard team

You can expect some better, not only reference based motherboards from EVGA in the future. The company already made its name selling Nvidia reference designs and captured a huge success with Nforce 680i, but this time it plans to go a step forward. EVGA has acquired 30+ engineers from Epox, a fallen motherboard manufacturer and this definitely offers some hope that EVGA can come up with its own design boards based on Nvidia chipsets.
