Thanks. how are these nvidia ones better than the ones that Microsoft supplies?
These nForce IDE drivers v.9.98 are much better than the Vista in-box nForce IDE drivers v.8.22. The new ones are rock stable and have very good performance.

Yeah that 9.46 is a killer specially on older boards from nvidia v.9.98 seems flawless on all occasions and fast I benchmarked it now to 205MB/s buffered and 78MB/s linear on SataIDE which is as fast as v10.x driver series almost except that those ain't exactly flawless to most of older boards. Seems only full compliant with nForce 5/6.
The Vista nForce IDE drivers v.9.98 are running fine with nForce 4 series boards too

I know they are running on nForce 4 that's what I am using.. 430 / 6100.. That's why I said v10.x drivers where to nForce 5/6 while these v9.46, v9.98 IDE/RAID goes to 4/7 clean..

DUDE!!!!!!!!!! You are awesome!! I fought all afternoon trying to find the right driver and finally stumbled across yours! It fired right up and immediately worked. Thanks for your efforts man, you should sell the driver to MSFT or HP so they can get things right the first time.

So, which chipsets do the "original" ones from Asus support? Any of them support the nForce 4 SLi or nForce 500 SLi ???

The nForce IDE drivers v9.98 of the 9.46 packages are supporting the following HardwareID's:
  • DEV_0054 = nForce4 AMD (=CK804) S-ATA 1 Controllers
  • DEV_0055 = nForce4 AMD (=CK804) S-ATA 2 Controllers
  • DEV_0266 = nForce 430/410 (MCP51) S-ATA 1 Controllers
  • DEV_0267 = nForce 430/410 (MCP51) S-ATA 2 Controllers
  • DEV_03F6 = nForce 430/405/400 (MCP61) S-ATA Controllers
  • DEV_037F = nForce 590/570/550 (MCP55) S-ATA Controllers
  • DEV_044C = nForce 560/520 (MCP65) RAID Controllers
  • DEV_044D = nForce 560/520 (MCP65) S-ATA AHCI Controllers

Why do you want to use these drivers for NF7 series chipsets? Take the 9.99.09 ones.

Well here a shocker.

Nvidia Ethernet teaming now works with vista 64 and all other functions remain stable.

About which Ethernet driver version of which package are you reporting?
This is an old thread about ASUS driverpacks.
