| I don't get it. Aren't these the same 9.46 nForce drivers that have been available on nVidia's webpage for the 780/750 for the last month or so? |

Some of them maybe the same (I am just trying to get them too), but now they are officially published and recommended by ASUS for other nForce chipsets.
The most interesting packages are those named "NVIDIA_Raid_V946_Vista32bit.zip", "NVIDIA_ Raid_V946_Vista64bit.zip" and the big sized "NVIDIA_chipset_1611_xpvista.zip", because there is no chipset within the name of the packages.
EDIT: I just could finish downloading the "NVIDIA_Raid_V946_Vista32bit.zip" package. Surprisingly it didn't only contain nForce IDE, but also Ethernet and SMBus drivers and - even more surprisingly - nForce IDE drivers v.9.17 for W2k.
Here is the content of the README file:
| Code: |
This WinVista-32 nForce driver package contains the below components:
Ethernet Driver (v67.72) WHQL
Network Management Tools (v67.67)
SMBus Driver (v4.60) WHQL
Installer (v5.66)
SataRAID Driver (v9.98) WHQL
SataIDE Driver (v9.98) WHQL
RAIDTOOL Application (v9.99) |

Your last entry, the chipset 1611 for XP/Vista is huge!!! That must mean there are alot of drivers in there.... it must be...could it be........no........a truly unified driver package for nForce 1-780i!!!! Ok, I jest....
But 16.08 was a hundred and some megs due to the fact it included the display driver. Perhaps this is the heir apparent package to the 16.08, the new 16.11 and included the whole Vista and XP driver packages which would make it very large.
Then again why do I grasp at straws for explanations?? |

If you are right, that would be a great day for all nForce chipset users! |

Well it appears that the Ethernet driver is newer than the official 9.46 package which has Ethernet 67.67.
Any luck with the huge download? |

That 300 Megger loooks nice, but not at 8k/sec. |

You are right and furthermore the new Ethernet driver v.67.72 dated 11/17/2007 is supporting much more nForce chipsets than the previously published v.67.67.
Here is the [NVIDIA] section of the new v.67.72 Ethernet INF file:
| Code: |
%NVENETFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENET41.NDI, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0057
%NVENETFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENET51.NDI, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0269
%NVENETFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENET55.NDI, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0373
%NVENETFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENET61.NDI, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_03EF
%NVENETFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENET65.NDI, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0450
%NVENETFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENET67.NDI, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_054C
%NVENETFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENET73.NDI, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_07DC
%NVENETFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENET77.NDI, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0760
%NVENETVFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENETVFD.ndi, NVENET_VFD |
The same section of the v.67.67 Ethernet INF file looks like this:
| Code: |
%NVENETFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENET51.NDI, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0269
%NVENETFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENET55.NDI, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0373
%NVENETVFD.DeviceDesc% = NVENETVFD.ndi, NVENET_VFD |

Before anyone can host the big sized 16.11 chipset driver package somewhere else, it has to be downloaded from the ASUS source.
If anyone will be able to get the 16.11 package, please let us know the content of it. It probably will be possible to devide the big package into smaller ones and upload the most interesting parts to Rapidshare.

| I've been trying to download 16.11 for awhile now. It's gotten to over 50% twice and freakin' timed out both times. How is it possible that one of the premier mobo manufacturers on this planet has so little bandwidth? I mean we're talking dial-up speeds here, for crying out loud. Anyways, my current download is at 56% and crawling...got my fingers crossed. |

We are wishing you good luck!
Meanwhile I have repacked and uploaded the nForce chipset package v.9.46 for Vista x86, which contains the new Ethernet driver v.67.72. To minimize the size a bit, I have deleted the IDE drivers for W2k.
Here is the download link to the complete new Vista 32bit nForce chipset driver package v.9.46, which probably will be usable for nearly all nForce chipsets except nForce2/3.
Users, who just want the new Vista x86 nForce Ethernet driver v.67.72 (without the NAM subfolder), can download this small package here.
