I have the biostar nf325-a7 and I tried to update the bios ,but now I get a "bios checksum error". I have been able to reflash the bios with a floppy drive but still no luck. Any ideas
Thanks |

try unplugging the psu, pulling the battery & moving the bios jumper to clear.
also, are you using a usb keyboard?

i've have boards that sometimes don't pick up the delete key always. try a cold boot and tap the delete key once every second or so, starting before you ever scene the post screen.
what are you using to flash the bios? the onboard flasher or dos boot disk?

Thanks for tring to help with this.
Hears what I get
Soon as it turnes on I get
Award Bootblock Bios v1.0
Copyright (C) 200. Award Software, inc.
Bios Rom Checksum error .
Then beeps like crazy when floppy is not connected.
If floppy is connected I can boot to a dos disc and run Award flash and flash the bios with no luck.
The original bad flash was done from windows using biostars windows based flash program
Thanks again |

could be the battery.
http://www.pcguide.com/ts/x/comp/mbsys/bios_Corrupted.htm
you could try using the on board flash program with just the bin file on the floppy. maybe the awdflash version your using doesn't like the board or vise a versa.
i'm out of ideas.
