I have never had a problem with the Speedtouch 546. Used it extensively with Bittorrent and it has never failed once. Works very well on noisy/long lines as well. The DMT Tool can be used with the Speedtouch to adjust the SNR Margin so that the sync speed can be adjusted to get the most from the line.

I would not swap ADSL2+ for cable, the upload is far too slow on cable for my uses.

It really depends who you're with. Our local cable isn't too bad on upload comparatively.

All UK cable has low upload speeds. 10mb/500kb and that is an improvement from 384kbps fairly recently.

Compare with ADSL2+ of 1.3mb. If upload is important then you don't use Cable. Wink
