"Update FX55 PST table."
What does that mean? |
So the BIOS can recognize cpu features reading the cpuid presented off the chip. In looking at the BIOS DL page that was implemented in the second BIOS release.
I guess we should ask what the Release Date is on his currently installed BIOS.
The BIOS DL Page located HERE is a mess. Nothing coincides with the information/dates given on the Supported CPU List found in THIS archive. |

| Bios revision date 5/2/2006. I thought the latest would be best. The compatibility table shows 11/2004, should I try that bios instead? |

Na, I can't see going backwards at this point.
Have you tried reducing your HW as I suggested earlier? |

| I did reduce the hardware by unplugging my HDs. Your post described the rest of my system. No change. Somebody mentioned cool and quiet. Would that have an effect? |

No, your current BIOS fully supports the FX-55.
At this point My next step would be to A: Try a different(Larger) PSU and B: Verify that the CPU is good. |

| I replaced my antec 430 with a seasonic 550 and now the system powers up but doesn't get to POST. The harddrive light stays on solid and the CD player continuously cycles up. Tried clearing CMOS again. |
