OCZ Platinum 2GBs

Welcome to nForcersHQ.

Have you tested for system stability using Memtest86+ v1.65 and or Prime95?

Overclocking?

Temps on CPU/Vid/System ok?

If the 6800 has a plug for power try to keep this as the only device using that drop from the PSU. Not sharing it with fans, floppy, etc etc.

Hows the voltages look when viewed from inside the BIOS? A 20pin or 24pin PSU employed? Is the correct 4pin ATX12V1 plug connected to the MB? PSU Make/Model/Amps on each 3.3v, 5v, 12v line?

Everything is fine
didnt overlock, the temps are good (40C for video card , 33C for CPU )
Also the powerplug is directly from the PSU.

About the other questions, i dont know what you talking about Razz

@DigiQ8
I also have this MB and used it to make an incremental upgrade from AGP to PCI-E.

First off know that the XGP is *NOT* a true AGP unlike the more popular ASROCK borad. This XGP is a simulated AGP running off the PCI bus. This means that your AGP card will run as a PCI card and you won't get the same performance in 3D applications and games.

Secondly there are no nVidia 6800 series listed as having been tested compatible with the XGP. You can check at: http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdetails.asp?model=tforce4+u

Next check to see that you have the latest BIOS (227 as of this post). You may want to phone BIOSTAR tech support to see if they know of any problems with your 6800 Ultra. Their numbers are listed on their 'Contact Us' page. I have had very positive experiences with their tech support and they seem very interested in helping their customers.

Lastly I think that this board was really ment to allow you to use normal desktop apps with your AGP card and was never really intended to be used for gaming with this setup. Having said that I am currently running an eVGA 7900GT PCI-E and everything works fantasicly. If you are into numbers I benched 5001 in 3DMark06 on this card using a Sandy 3700+ OC'd @ 2.8GHz.

DigiQ8, I also have the Biostar TForce4U board and was running a Geforce 6800XT in the XGP slot. It will play games, but as you've experienced, they run very poorly. In addition, my computer will bluescreen on certain programs, and I believe that is a result of 3d graphics. I agree with FlyingHorse's statement - the XGP is probably just there so you don't have to throw down cash for a new videocard at the same time as buying the board. I'm installing a 7600GT PCI-E card today, so I hope this will fix my gaming issues.

I also think the Nforce4-Ultra is picky about the type of ram you use, I had two brand new PNY modules give a whole host of errors in Memtest86, so maybe you should check your ram too (that was the cause of much of my instability with this board) Good luck!
