My current temp is 57C / 37C idle with an ambient of 29C. But this is with the water radiator fans turned off, and no case fans! With the radiator fans on it drops to 48C idle 54C loaded. I'm perfectly happy with these temps in a heavily oc'd overvolted system that's quiet as well.

but aren't they (asus/abit) supposed to be equal (nforce2)?

do you think is the hardware or software bugs of the asus that makes the difference?!

FAO Matrix

Postby Peter Davies » Mon May 12, 2003 12:20 pm

Matrix,
First of all, thank you for posting those bios settings. I tried them ( see sig) and changed my cpu/fsb'dramm ration from 3/3/ to 6/6. Can you explain the difference between these two settings? They both show my ram as 400mhz as does by spd...is 6/6 better than 3/3?
Unfortunately, my ram (non winbond I think) couldn't handle those expert settings. I can't get them passed their current aggressive setting...but then again I ain't tried upping the ram voltage. Do you think that'll help?
TIA,
Pete
