Hi ppl,I would like to know who here is still running a nforce /nforce2 system as primary, or if not primay how it is...lots of hardware come and go but I think most of the people have some "love" to nforce2 boards...at least I do and I believe this boards were a school for many people, even in overclocking terms...
So ppl talk a bit of your nforce/nforce2 setups..
About mine..my 1st system had now an "upgrade", 2x512 mushkin xp4000 ram..one of the best rams for this systems..they are now @246 fsb and I hope they will come to the 250..I upgraded too from a 9800pro@xt to an asus v9999gt (6800gt 128mb ddr1).
I am waiting now from a good cooler and will put my proc back to the 2.6ghz that I had on water...
About my 2nd rig..it now receive a 2xCreative 3dfx Voodoo 2 12mb Sli setup to make it even better
talk a bit guys nforce2 rox |

Main rig is still my nforce2 with Barton 3200 at stock. Running Vista with little issue (only issues im having are with pisspoor drivers from Nvidia (graphics) and Creative (sound). 256mb Geforce 6800GT also at stock installed.
System as a whole is just about keeping up with the latest and greatest games - nothing runs juddery at native res of 1280x1024.
Will keep with this system until theres software I'm likely to use that actually makes it struggle (at this rate, this is going to be a long wait for Alan Wake - nothing in the pipeline is going to test my system properly at that resolution) |

My main rig is listed in my sig and running fine Just put it all in the following case
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?TabID=1&ModuleNo=48124&doy=9m3
Looking good. Running Vista Business with no issues. All games running nicely.
Unforuntely apart from overcloking, not much more i could upgrade so next upgrade will be a complete new system. This will then replace my old PIII 800Mhz as my second PC |

My main rig is AN7 + Athlon XP 2500 Mobile @ 2.4GHz + 3 Gigs of OCZ Platinum RAM
Mature and stable platform with good BIOS and drivers, well supported under both XP and Linux. Not planning to change it in the foreseeable future. The only thing I want to upgrade is my 6600GT vidcard, so I am waiting to see if nVidia releases anything from the 8th generation in AGP. If not then I'll just get a x1950 and use the system until it turns to dust |

| my rig has been stable for over 2 years now, it was just that nasty 1.0x rev board, 2.0 is way way better for overclocking, it'll turn off before it damages any hardware |

| Until last week my Shuttle SN41G2 was doing just fine (except for a "lazy" power supply). But now the failing capacitor in the PSU has finally given up, and I haven't had time to see if I should get a replacement PSU, or try to solder in a new capacitor. |

My home built rig that still does everything I want including Autodesk Inventor and Autocad drawings.
Abit NF7s V1.2 & AMD Athlon XP3000 CPU at stock speeds (Nforce2 chipset).
2x 512Mb Corsair PC3200's at stock settings.
Asus 9999 Geforce 6800 256Mb AGP graphics card.
Seagate 320Gb 7200.10 IDE HD
Maxtor 160Gb Diamond Max 9 IDE HD for backups.
Pioneer 16x DVD-RW & Pioneer 16x DVD-ROM.
Windows XP Pro SP2.
Nearly 4 years old and never let me down once !!!
Still tempted to upgrade my VGA card at some point to either a 7600Gt or 7800GS but all depends on price as that will be my last upgrade before giving my system to my sister and then I get a whole new rig.

| My beloved old K7N-420 fell victim to the leaky capacitors debacle of a few years ago. |
