I thought that I would set-up a network between my main PC and my laptop so I could easily exchange data/calenders etc anyway. I followed the instruction in 'control panel' to set this network up but nothing... so I tried again but a wireless network, I thought this may be better as my laptop accesses my netgear router wirelessly (as it were)
Nothing worked! so I stopped it all but now everything seems to be 'networked' for instance when I send an email it takes ages! cos its trying to 'synchronise folders' and seems to lock the whole computer-up to a point where I have to hard-shut-down as nothing else works.
How can I get rid of all these unwanted changes? I have deleted what I can but O.M.G! it's a nightmare having to shut the PC down every time I send an email!
Any help would be great thanks |

| What email program are you using? Is it updated? Several have their own network options and if set wrong will keep trying to use a nonexistant network connection. |

| It definately has its own networking configuration. Do you have Offices service packs installed? It's kind of broken without them... |

Outlook 2003 is impossible to fix!!

So were you trying to share folders/calendar/contacts/whatever inside Outlook? (I'm not sure if it's possible without an Exchange mail account..)
Try to remove the account and create a new one (don't forget to backup/export your data file), as stupid as it sounds it might solve the problem....
Are you having other dificulties besides send emails?
Edit: spelling

Of course Windows 9x can be fixed!
By removing it and replacing it with another OS. |

| Replacing isn't fixing, but yeah close enough. |
