Half-Life’s Agonising Remake Still On, New Screens Released
In development for around eight years now, the fan-made remake of the original Half-Life, known as Black Mesa, is almost a punchline for the torment followers of the series as a whole are feeling at its lack of updates.
The developers of the project are still plugging away, though, and have this morning released a bunch of new screenshots for Black Mesa, reminding us all that it's still not out, and that it's still looking great.



Introducing the Source Filmmaker
Valve has just introduced the Source Filmaker and is currently taking sign-ups for the beta. Just FYI, you'll need to have Steam installed to get in on the beta.

If there’s ever an example of a game that’s truly turned out to be a service, it’s not all those big MMO monoliths, it’s the madly buzzing backwater of Team Fortress 2.
‘Service’ is such a strange concept in regards to games, and of course it’s one that’s yet to be properly defined, but to Valve it seems to mean that everything they do with it has to engage the player: the comics, the videos, even the item descriptions, are all there to get you hooked all over again.
