Help picking new mobo - for SLI and 8gb ram

Ok, I'm using a n650sli-ds4 from gigabyte currently, vista business 64bit.

I have serious ram issues with it and it's [peeing] me off to the point where I'm just going to replace it. I have 4 sticks of 2gb ocz reaper for ram that I want to use, and 2 x 8800gt in SLI. I'm not huge on overclocking, I just need stability at this point.

I'd be prepared to dump the SLI I guess if the mobo's worth it, after all I could crossfire or wait for the next great release. Running a dell 30" screen so I need all the performance I can get for games.

I've read up on the 680/750/780i boards and how hot they run, boards dying and so on.

So that's the crack, I need a stable setup with my 8gb och ram and preferably the SLI.

What would you guys do, ditch it and get a nice intel chipset mobo with crossfire down the line or a beefy 9800gx2? Or try my luck with a nvidia mobo again? I'm not even sure which boards are better when using all the ram slots.
