help me, plz! My laptop HP dv2000 battery is not working now

I'd hunt for a new one on Ebay.

Looks like around $30.00 for a replacement.

You should be able continue using the laptop without a battery, so long as the power cord is plugged in.

There appear to be two HP replacement batteries available:

Assuming your laptop is out of warranty, you'll have to buy a new battery. It's up to you whether a new "made by" HP battery is needed, or whether you want to take your chances with one bought off ebay.
