Ok, so I'll admit, the whole sata thing is not my, er, specialty....
My setup;
750 gig sata ll Seagate hd (main/boot)
3x 120 gig sata1 segates.
2 gigs ram.
winxp sp2
and of course...Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H.
Installed sata drivers from flopper during xp setup.
Cannot get this board to work with the hd's set to sata.
Will only work set as "native ide"
What, pray tell, am I missing...???

| Ive set my drive also to native IDE.. .Ive not thought anythink of it cos it worked... |

There are 3 options in the bios...
Native IDE
RAID
ACHP (or somthing similar)
If youre not using RAID, then native IDE is the one, afterall.. as you say, it is the only one that works...!! |
