Should a better CPU -to an already good CPU- provide a boost in a browser benchmark?

I know what you mean, it shouldn't ideally. It's probably because Chrome isn't fully GPU accelerated yet, so it leans on the CPU more (plus it's pretty quick in that benchmark anyway, along with Opera).
