| So do any of these drivers enable 5.1 audio in games? I am guessing the SPDIF connection cannot encode 5.1 no matter what drivers are used? I posted a separate thread on this, so I'll update this post if I get any good replies. |
works I think. depending on card a bit of course. As far I've watched these seems this sonic focus some kinda software based turn actually works quite well considering it's just software passthrough as far I've understood.. |

Well, ASUS updated all of their servers.
The place it even more messy as it was before. Although as I look throuhg their collections this is like hell on earth for their Web operator I bet.
However, there is alot of new stuff. Which isn't now listed here..
Example:
-There is v61006101 HD audio drivers built from old audio drivers.
-There's alot of rebuilds of old drivers. (ASUS has separated All systems to new scheming. They are building XP, XP64, Vista, Vista64 driver packages. Meaning that will be hell on earth to this place, but great enhancement to ASUS exception that this way there's 4 times the work for them, but only people downloading unique packages.)
-The servers are bloated with new folder scheming of accordingly by ADxxxx series. Meaning we will soon be seeing incredible hard updatable updates to cards by Audio Card chipsets.
About Links:
Please note me if you find an broken link since that might mean entire chains are broken as for atm situation to consider.
About the core thing what the hell to use?:
Well, I'd stick on all the earlier advices. Only difference here even while ASUS loves to make it look hard is that Operating systems are separated and download speeds are probably better.
What the hell to use would be as previous posts. Use the Sonic Focus Driver, if you simply can for new cards. Older cards stick to something like 6110 and for special new chipsets simply check out something 6280 should work better on SPDIF & so on..

I own M2N also here. What is the actual difficulty on it?
The SoundMax drivers in > in soundmax control panel you can separate front jacks and back jacks. (meaning you can add headphones and mic to front instead of back.)
Cables goes as green to green and so on, Orange is Subwoover if it's separated. As usual. If you have some difficulties on getting the front panel audio working let me know I'll add screenshot, if needed. |
