Anyways, I followed how to update the drivers safely. And I rebooted. I have now more similar versions of the drivers.
Thanks for the help and quick answers. I will now update the drivers for Windows XP x64 as well! |
One more recommendation:
Run the optional REG file after having completed the nForce IDE driver update. You will find this registry cleaner in all of my actual driverpacks. |

I know but I just thought it might be a good idea to have the download links in the sticky area ....
Cheers

Ok, that sounds locigal, but with this intention it would have been reasonable to devide the links to the Vista and XP driverpacks threads.

@ all Vista users:
The first post of this thread has just been updated again.
Changelog:
- New: special WHQL driverpacks for nForce4 RAID systems
- New: WHQL "Performance Packs"
- enhanced compatibility of the "Modded Performance Packs"
- removal of the separate nForce IDE 10.1.0.26 drivers
You will find further informations and the download links within my updated first post of this thread.
Any feedback is much appreciated.
Have fun!
Fernando

Please report here about your experiences with the drivers of my packs. A short notice about your chipset and how you installed the drivers would be fine for other users.
@ all Vista users with an MCP51, MCP55, nForce 680i or nForce 7.xx chipset:
Yesterday I got access to a new version 1.00.00.26 of the nForce HDAudio drivers. This let me think about the release of the next version 2.1 of my driverpacks. Since it wouldn't make sense to redo the upload of all driverpacks just because of the slightly updated HDAudio driver, I am tinkering with the idea of replacing the approved installer v5.84 by NVIDIA's newest one v5.93.
Before I am going to remix and upload all my driverpacks again, I would like to get your feedback regarding the new installer v5.93.
That is why I am going to pre-publish here my already updated "Vista WHQL Performance Packs" v2.1.
Changelog:
- new installer v5.93
- updated HDAudio driver v1.00.00.26
Here are the download links to the updated packs (with multilingual installer):
32bit WHQL Performance Pack v2.1 for Vista x86
64bit WHQL Performance Pack v2.1 for Vista x64
These are the components of the packs:
| Code: |
Ethernet Driver (v67.80) WHQL
SATAIDE Driver (v9.99.09) WHQL
SATARAID Driver (v9.99.09) WHQL
RAIDTOOL Application (v9.99.09) "Sedona"
SMBus Driver (v4.64) WHQL
SMU Driver (v1.45) WHQL
HDAudio Driver (1.00.00.26) WHQL
optional IDE driver registry cleaner (made by TwL)
Installer (v5.93) |
Don't forget to post your short feedback into this thread (mentioning your nForce chipset and the OS version).
Thanks in advance!
