I have encountered an error trying to use the Asus Update program with my board. I have used this program for the whole time I have had the board, updating the version of it as Asus released new ones. Recently when I tried to update my version of Asus Update to 60601 from my previous version under Windows XP Home SP2 I encountered an error preventing me from installing it to my system. And when I try to re-install my older version the same error prevented me from doing so saying there is no Asus motherboard installed. As of now I cannot install any version of this program to my machine as the same error stops me from doing so. This is the error I get:
ASUS BIOS INFO.DLL
Unable to create NT driver service for BS_DEF.DLL
I realize (or think) this is a system registry error relating to motherboard DMI informations. My question is is there a way to fix this without doing a clean install of WinXP to reset the registry.
Thanks in advance.

change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node
to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\aWow6432Node
and voila, it worked! No problems when installing asus update and logitech itouch.
After installation you can change it back to the old entry.
