Hi,
Is anyone using a M7NCG 400 with 3 DIMMS @ 200FSB with a separate (discrete) video card? It seems that mine doesn't like that...as soon as I pull out the extra stick everything is okay. So I am trying to figure out if it's compatabilty or just a thing with this mobo. I've also tried every possible combination of DIMM slots( the third stick is different too, it's a Corsair Value Select 2.5-3-3-8 512MB) I even lowered the timings way back to 3-3-3-8, and tried at 2.5 and 2.6v. My original memory is OCZ 2x 512MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146883#DetailSpecs
...thanks
ps oh yeah I also tried bringing the FSB back a little to but no luck.

| I thought it was taboo to use all 3 mem slots since this is a dual channel MB and if i was to use the 3rd slot my memory would be exactly the same as the other 2 sticks just a thought i dont think it will work out with different memory no sure if the 3rd slot of memory will actually make your machine any faster |

| I am hoping to get more RAM to help the jitters in Battlefield 2 (which it does help b/c I was able to play with the extra RAM for a while). Windows itself just doesn't like it...start getting memory/registry errors after a few minutes...and gosh forbid if I run SANDRA Memory Bandwidth test it locks up. |

Have you tried MemTest86???
That will check the ram before Windows gets it's hands on it.
I've got 3 sticks in my son's M7NCD Pro and it works like a champ. |
