When I try to post my machine I get an initial beep and then its followed by continuous rapid high pitched beeps. I've tried all the troubleshooting tips I've seen in this forum to no avail.
I've disconnected all drives, keyboard, mouse. I've played with all three sticks of RAM, PC3200 400 placing them in the system one at a time in slot A. I've reset CMOS with the jumper. I've removed the battery for 30 minutes. All with the same result. I've reseated the CPU and reseated all critical connectors in the system such as the power cable to the motherboard. Most every other cable in the box is not connected except the power button.
I emailed Biostar and the reply I got was "It's the siren alarm, reseat your CPU." Well its not the siren alarm - I'm familiar with that. Anyone have any better ideas?
Thanks

Ouch!
Do you have any other know-good parts around? Specifically RAM, Video Card, CPU, or even another AXP Compatible motherboard by any chance? Are you using onboard video? Do you get anything at all on the display? Also, have you recently made a hardware change to the computer (just before the issue happened) or has the computer been moved around. Was the computer working and now not working or did you just build it?

| The machine is a brand new build. All the parts are new. I'm using the built in video and have never gotten one pixel on the screen. I've emailed support and they gave me a Ref. number to RMA it. I guess I'll try that as I'm out of other ideas. |
