After 5 days of screwing with my setup, I finally got my microphone to work. This is just a reminder to show you how to get it to work.
audio drivers version: 6.14.0348.0 worked from the 2.45a remix found at: http://www.mwarhead.tk/ .
For reference (w2k):
control panel / system / <hardare tab> / device manager / sound , video and game controllers /
right click "Nvidia nforce audio codec interface" / properties /
<driver tab> / update driver / next / display a list of known drivers... / Next /
Have disk / browse / browse to where you unzipped the 2.45a remix directory\AUDIODRV select NVMCP.INF /
Open / OK / select "nvidia nforce audio codec interface" / next / yes / finish / restart computer "yes" |

| does the problem exist for the 5.10s or mwarhead's new remix? i went to get the 2.45a but theyre gone. all links that i can find to 2.45a remix are dead. |

you should read
my post
even if we dont have the same motherboard it should be the same pb
for the drivers, i rared the audio part, and upped it there
