I have yet to get the NForce2 NIC working in Vista. Have tried the drivers from the 6.14 betas, and the 8.22 and 11.15 remixes, still no luck. I get some Local Access only when I hover over the network in the systray. I've tried all of these from fresh installs of Vista, and I'm using a NF7-S 2.0 mobo. I've also tried installing the 6.14 betas under Win XP SP2 compatible mode with no luck. Anyone got any ideas?

Didn't the Vista built-in nForce ethernet drivers work with your chipset?
What did you see within the network adapter section of the device manager after having completed the Vista installation?

No the built in drivers don't seem to work. In the network adapters it does show the Nforce network adapter as installed when I initially install Vista, or any other drivers for that matter. I've tried doing the repair function and have had no luck. Does it normally show no adapter at all if it won't work?

So the nForce network adapter was properly installed (shown within the device manager without any yellow marks), when you had completed the Vista installation?
What was the reason to conclude, that it didn't work? Have you tried to create an internet connection? If yes, are you sure you did it the right way?

I got it working this morning. I thought it was a driver issue as when I tried to create an internet connection it just gave me the broadband PPPoE option, and not a regular broadband option. Anyways I ended up resetting the modem and it worked fine, I didn't think this would be necessary but I guess the modem couldn't correspond with it as it was maybe stuck on my new computers ethernet settings? I guess I'll have to reset the modem anytime I plug a new computer into the network!

The Nvidia NIC should work straight out of the Vista final install, be it with Vistas own basic drivers, did on my Asus and NIC should be the same on all NF2 mobos.

That's what I tried to transmit and Racers Edge got it working now.
