If you mean that you've already installed a previous pack and want to insure a perfect install without bits and pieces being left behind from the previous drivers then use this utility, read the readme.txt for instructions or follow the guide on the page itself.

SP1a
Direct X 9b
Chipset Drivers
Video Drivers
Remaining Drivers
Windows Update
Programs & Games

And he asked how do you do a clean install of the nForce drivers not how to do a clean install of the windows operating system but either way i've answered both his question.

imho...

a) add or remove programs > uninstall video drivers , uninstall nforce drivers. make sure that there are no video or nforce tasks/services/programs are running. run drivercleaner http://www.3dchipset.com/files/utilities/dc27.zip and remove residuals of video and motherboard drivers. reboot.
b) install your nforce drivers and reboot.
c) install your video drivers and reboot.
d) tweak your system (optional).

or...

a) xp pro sp1
b) directx 9.0b and other programs that could be affected by windowsupdate
c) nvidia lan drivers (if, like me, you use the nvidia lan for a broadband connection)
d) windowsupdates for criticals and carefully selected recommended updates.
e) nforce drivers. manual reboot.
f) video drivers. manual reboot.
g) other devices and system programs. reboot.
h) heavy tweaking of the system, o&o defrag pro time ;)
g) install programs.

many people have ways to do it, personally, i feel that slipstreamed is the cleanest way

have the drivers integrated, all the updates and service packs, direct x, everything, on a disc (basically, sp2 will have almost everything except some drivers)
Format clean, and install with everything on disc, boom, wow, so clean ;)

I know I am being an evil b****** but I find it funny, that you all try to explain how to do a clean install, before you have even defined and agreed on what a clean install is.

In my view, the slipstream approach is the only way of doing a really clean install. Anything else is - at best - a cleaned-up install.

Yes i'd agree, here's a list of what's included in my slipstream, feel free to dribble down yourself.

XP Streamline v1.0

• Windows XP Professional SP1a Integrated

XP Streamline v1.1

• Critical Updates dated September 2003 and earlier are auto-installed
• Direct X 9B is auto-installed
• Windows Media Player 9 is auto-installed
• MSN Messenger 6.1 is auto-installed
• .NET Framework is auto-installed
• MSN Explorer is not installed
• MSN Messenger v4.6 is not installed
• Additional device drivers
• Registry Tweaks (for full list see below)
• Clutter Removal (useless shortcuts, default wallpapers etc)
• Automated installation

Registry Changes / Tweaks

• Disabled ‘Automatic Restart’ in the event of a Blue Screen so you can see what caused it
• Disabled ‘Desktop Clean-up Wizard’ because it bugs me
• Disabled ‘Error Reporting’ so MS do not receive details of the error, only you do
• Disabled ‘Messenger Service’, evil people use it to spam, it is in no way related to MSN Messenger
• Disabled ‘Remote Registry Service’ for security reasons
• Disabled ‘Windows Tour Bubble’ that displays on first logon after install
• Disabled ‘Indexing Service’ because it increases speed and minimizes HDD activity, this does have a negative impact on the speed of searches, but I rarely use the search feature as a properly organized person shouldn’t need it
• Disabled ‘Automatic Updates’, allowing you to choose when to update your operating system
• Disabled ‘System Restore Service’, it’s useless, half the time doesn’t work and slows things down. Get yourself a copy of Norton Ghost
• Disabled the ‘Search Dog’, yes he’s cute but also annoying
• Removed ‘Language Bar’ from ‘Taskbar’, default language is English
• Removed ‘Shared Documents’ from ‘My Computer’, again, for security reasons
• Removed shortcut arrows from shortcuts because they’re ugly in my opinion
• Removed ‘Recent Documents’ from the ‘Start-Menu’, does anyone actually use this feature?
• Removed ‘Sound Icon’ from ‘Taskbar’
• Increased ‘Internet Explorer’s’ max simultaneous downloads from 2 to 10
• Increased the speed categories and sub-categories are displayed in the ‘Start-Menu’
• Added “Empty Recycling Bin” to the right-click-menu, very convenient
• Added ‘My Computer’, ‘My Documents’ and ‘My Network Places’ as default Desktop Icons
• Added right-click “Move To” function, very useful
• ‘Internet Explorer’ is set to delete temporary internet files on-close
• Control Panel is set to ‘Classic View’ which gives you more control over your machines settings
• Fixed renaming issue with .AVI files where windows would say they’re in use when they’re not
• You can now rename the Recycling Bin where previously you could not
• Miscellaneous tweaks that will increase system speed while booting and while being used

XP Streamline v1.102

• Auto-installs 50+ beautiful Wallpapers in various resolutions
• Critical Service Packs: All issued before February 03 2004 are now auto-installed

Registry Changes / Tweaks

• Fixed MSN 6.1 crashing by removing the MSN Passport Wizard that you are forced to use the first time you sign into MSN Messenger after reinstalling windows and replacing it with the normal username / password sign-in screen

XP Streamline v1.51

• Changed the default installation folder from C:\Windows to C:\WINXP as some viruses and worms target the default installation directory
• Added the “Advanced Networking Pack”
• Fixed an error displayed by an IE Critical Update
• Compacted 45 Critical Updates into 12 by removing those superseded by others, this should speed up the post-install process
• 'Windows Games' no longer install (solitare, freecell, hearts etc...), because they're crap

Registry Changes / Tweaks

• Added an additional speed tweak for when opening *.avi files
• Added two NTFS file-system tweaks
• Disabled 'Recycle-Bin' delete confirmation, the item will still be transfered to the 'Recycle-Bin'
• Disabled the right-click "Send-to" function as it's practically replaced by the "Move To" function anyway
• Removed 'Alexa' spyware used to collect information about what websites you visit so they can be ranked on http://www.alexa.com
• Disabled default hidden shares for security (corresponding with an early regtweak: Removed ‘Shared Documents’ from ‘My Computer’, again, for security reasons)
• Added "Device Manager" to the right-click-menu of 'My Computer'

XP Streamline v1.7

• Integrated Flash Player 7 for Internet Explorer only
• Integrated Nero's wnaspi32.dll, fixes certain programs not recognizing all CD drives and problems caused by "Virtual CD Drives"
• Auto-install of Winamp v5.02
• Auto-install of Adobe Acrobat Reader 6
• Auto-install of WinRAR v3.3
• Auto-install of Microsoft Bootvis
• Added Critical Update Q828028 (10th February 2004)
• Added the new build of MSN Messenger (6.1.0211) released 09/03/2004
• Added Hot Fix Q815411, it addresses high CPU usage when there’s high HDD activity
• Disabled ‘Windows File Protection’ as it caused problems during installation on certain configurations
• Integrated the following sound/video codecs:

DivX Pro [version 5.1.1]
XviD 1.0.0.0 RC3 [2004-03-02]
Windows Media 7 [version 7.1.0.3055]
Windows Media 8 [version 8.0.0.371]
Windows Media 9 VCM [version 9.0.1.369]
Cyberlink DVD decoder [version 5.0.0.1130]
Elecard MPEG-2 decoder [version 2.0.0.2525]
Ligos Indeo XP [version 5.2820.15.58]
Intel Indeo [version 4.51.16.2]
Intel Indeo [version 3.24.15.03]
Intel I.263 [version 2.55.1.16]
Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 DirectShow decoder [version 1.9.0.311]
WMA DirectShow decoder [version 8.0.0.4487]
AC3 DirectShow decoder [version 0.70b mod]
Ogg Vorbis DirectShow decoder (CoreVorbis) [version 1.0b5]
Ogg Vorbis DirectShow filters [version 0.9.9.5]
Matrix Mixer [version 0.30b]
GSpot Codec Information Appliance [version 2.21 build 030711]

• Codecs that need configuring are done so, automatically
• Changed the default wallpaper ‘Bliss’ to something else!!
• Changed the default theme to silver rather than blue
• Integrated uxtheme.dll, this allows you to add your own Windows XP Style themes

Registry Changes / Tweaks

• Auto-accepting of WMP9's licence agreement the first time you run the program

Expected in next release

• MsgPlus will be added but not until the end of March as it doesn't currently have a SilentInstall option and would disrupt the unattended install
• Deletion of all shortcut icons created by programs recently integrated
• Deletion of INSTALL & DRIVERS folders that are copied to the C:\ during installation
• Auto-installation of the recovery console so it can be selected in startup options
