are there any great MODDED overclocking bios's for the nf4 ultra-d?
tictac writing any moded ones for this board?
Or are modded bios's a thing of the past?

Your best bet would most likely be to head over to DFI street. Lots of folks over there are modding bios versions of many kinds. They are defintely not a thing of the past. A lot is going to hinge on what kind of memory you're running and you gotta be certain you have a GOOD power supply.

I am running corsair twinx 256x2
is a 550Watt psu with active pfc good enough for a dfi nf4 ultra-d running a opteron 146 Overclocked to around 3g?

It should be fine so long as its a GOOD name brand power supply.
