i have a dfi lanparty nf4 sli-dr motherboard and i am using the audio that came with the motherboard, the karajan audio module. i installed the latest driver for it which is realtek, it has 6 audio jacks. now i have 2 sets of dell speakers they are a425 and the dell sound bar as501. just to clarify what i have is basically 5 speakers and 2 woofers. when i go into the sound settings and turn it to 5.1 surround sound, 7.1 surround sound, or any other setting and plug all of it up it will only work on the green jack which is the main sound connecter. i have 3 audio jacks that i need to plug in, 2 audio jacks are from the 2 sets of dell speakers a425 and 1 audio jack from the dell sound bar as501. i tried plugging it in all of the 6 audio jacks but the only one that works is the green one. i tried messing with the sound settings more but i still cant get them to all work. how do i make them work? i tried surfing online to see if they sell any 1 rca male to 3 rca females but couldnt find any. can someone help me on this please.

you could always go to nvidia's website and get the nvidia stand alone audio driver and try that instead. it can be a little tricky to find.

1. go to www.nvidia.com
2. select download drivers
3. under product type select legacy
4. under product series select nforce audio (its on the bottom of the list)
5. choose your operating system and language.

Hope this helps...

Does the DFI unit work with the nvidia drivers as its not a standard spec NF4 part like Soundstorm was?

Well, it was just a suggestion cause heres the thing.

I know for a fact it works on nForce3 cause I'm using it on my DFI Lanparty Nf3-250GB which is my little spare computer, and I use the audio for all kinds of stuff. It's seems to be the same from what I can tell, supports 7.1 and stuff. I have to use this driver because the Nforce 5.10 included audio drivers gives that PC issues with team speak.

As far as nforce4, I can't confirm that this driver specifically does work because I'm using an Audigy 2 ZS in my rig. But, my wife's rig is a DFI NF4 Infinity, and I'm using the Nforce 4.86 drivers with the built in nvidia audio driver. To me I think the realtek makes her microphone sound like crap and I like the NVMixer better. I have also used the 4.86 included audio driver on my rig once just to check it out when I first got the board.

Now that I just said that, why not try the 1 built into the 4.86 package? Works good for her but she's just using 2 speakers.. I see all the speaker settings for 7.1 and stuff in the NVMixer though.

So, in answer to your question daglesj yes, you can use nvidia 4.86 included audio drivers for your onboard sound and don't have to use the realtek ones unless you like them better. And, the 4.62 stand alone driver "should" work also, but is probably a year older.

----editted a lot cause i cant spell tonight lol
