Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe RAID problem

Postby dbinfl » Wed Jan 13, 2010 12:43 am

So I have had this rig going for at least a couple of years, no problems. it has a main PATA system drive, and 4 SATA 500GB WD drives configured with RAID 5 and id nForce 570 SLI. Originally had XP, then put Server 2008 on it. Since it had all the drivers when I installed 08, I didn't install any of the nvidia software. So I went to do that but they don't seem to have any for server 08 64bit.
Yesterday had a power surge or spike or something and now the RAID flashes ERROR in POST. I go into the RAID util there are 2 arrays one shows 2 disks the other only shows 1. Only options are Rebuild, Delete data and something else.
Nothing was showing in windows. I installed Windows 7 64bit and got the Vista 64bit software and drivers since that's what was recommended on MS site. Well I loaded MediaShield and it didn't show the RAID and wanted to format it. I tried to run the WD diagnostics after turning RAID support off in BIOS but it couldn't see any physical drives.
I am so lost and frustrated right now and not sure what the next step to take is.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
