I remember back in late 98(?) and reading that the coming Quake3 was going to be so complex that they were warning your graphics card would need at least 12MB of ram to play it. 8-O

I remember reading we'd have 2GB of RAM on or gfx cards by now...apparently not.

I think some already do... I've read a test somewhere, and more than 1,5gb helped with GTA IV and Crysis über modes, IIRC. :Alien:

Is there a reason you're ignoring the advice to get a better GPU? That thing came out a year and a half ago.

Don't cheap out on the power supply. Corsair and Seasonic have good reputations, albeit at a higher price.

UPDATE:

i built the computer! but it is now for sale, thats kinda what i do, i drool over building a new computer and then im like wow i can get lots of money for it 8-O i used windows 7 instead of vista and that was a great choice! also i got a geforce 250 which perferms excellent, check it out on the wanted/For sale page.
