Interesting...

Flashed this and it says it's still Rev. 1008.
Alltough cpuz says it's dated 09/14/2004.

Any idea what this is suppose to fix?

If its the one I downloaded the other day then it has an updated sata bios to 4.2.47 but I've yet to try it on my system.

They did have bios stating it is 1009 in that very same zip-file... it quickly went to be 1008 (at least says it is) and no one know why etc...

Started having problems with this. Odd stuttering in windows and after rebooting windows just freezed after loading.

So switched back to 1008 dated 03/29/2004, and everything is fine again.

I've tried this BIOS and very strange things happened. Some games crashed and the most peculiar was that when i tried to flash back to 1008 i got a message that the BIOS that i tried to flash was only for ASUS a7n8x, in other words was not for my mainboard, which is ASUS A7N8X dlx. I tried a few times and then it flashed, but i am very glad that i got rid of it. No BIOS 1009 for me anymore.

They have some really weird stuff happening with this particular "mutation" 1009 bios... I am using 1009 which says it is 1009 and I have no problems...

s*** thing is that I can't inject newer Sil3112A bios into already übered 1009... using CBROM jsut grows and grows biosfile until your hard drive is full... this same thing is happened to me previously too, but then I have just first inject sil bios and then überize it, but for some stupid reason I lost my original 1009 So I can't make real 1009 über with updated satabios untill either Asus updates again their FTP or someone is able to send me ORIGINAL 1009...

Well, I have über version of real 1009 here with 4.2.47 Serial-ATA bios in it...
