I m having next problem !
I have 2 x 512 mb RAM and i cant make them work in dual channel
they are working only if i put them in DDR DIMM 1 and 3. If i put them in 1 and 2 i get C1 and if i put them in 3,4 same thing.
When i insert single card of ram in slot 1 and 3 than it woks but if i instert that in 2 and 4 i get C1.
This is my second epox motherboard and i will NEVER buy it again !
First one was same and these memory sticks worf fine, then my old 9npa stop to work i get new same one but now i cant get dual channel.
Is someting wrong with motherboard? Probably yes and i hate day when i bougt this [darn] mainboard.
My PC is
AMD ATHLON 3800
Asus 6600 GT
SoundBlaster audigity 2 zs
2x512 memory (i WANT DUAL CHANEL)
So if anyone have some advice, plz help

I just installed the 9NPA+ less than an hour ago and had the same problem. I tried slots 3 and 4 and got a no-POST and 52 error code (memory problem). Put a single stick in slot 1 and works fine. Havent tried other confiugurations but according to the manual 3 and 4 should be ideal for dual channel, right?

1 and 2 or 3 and 4. According to page 3-5 of the manual. |

hardware and Snatchface... could you post your memory brand and specs and also you clock speed (overclocking?)?
The HTT, FSB, and memory timing in your BIOS could cause boot failure too. Specially if the BIOS fails to correctly read the timming information from the SPD chip on your memory module. |

i bought the same board a couple of months ago and encountered exactly the same problem. this afternoon i received a replacement from the retailer and this board also has dimm-socket issues. i get the C1 post code whenever any memory is installed in any socket (and also if none are installed).
this really is a shocking board.
i reckon i'll be returning it to exchange it for a different model. can anyone recommend a decent SLI board for about £100 that isn't rubbish? |

Same problem here - although my board starts up with two sticks of ram in dimm 1 & 2, I got constant errors when I tried to install windows - BSOD's, restarts, can't load file, etc...
I memtested both ram stick (individualy and together in DC) and no errors.
The strangest thing is that everything was running perfect untill now. |

Well - it is set on AUTO.
Is it possible that memory controler in CPU is dying? Or is completely motherboard's fault? |
