Hey, I got a epox 9npa ultra(About a year old) and it isn't booting. I get 1 single beep and then nothing. Everything lights up on the motherboard but the monitor does not light up. On the LCD on the motherboard, a whole bunch of codes go through and then they just stop on FF. FF, according to the manual, means everything is normal. I would assume that the last code FF is the final one because all the other ones just blaze through and do not last. Unfortunately, no signals reach the monitor so.... can it be a USB problem or something other than the videocard? The videocard fans turns on and works so the videocard is not completely dead. If it was the videocard though, error for it would show up on the LCD. I haven't tried anything yet because I don't want to make things worse. Any ideas on what I should start with to diagnose the problem??

Here's my specs:
Epox 9npa+ ultra(a little over a year old. old 9npa+ ultra died so I got it replaced with another)
1 stick of 1gb of ram from Crucial(might be corsair not 100%)
Enermax Liberty 500w PSU(8 months old)
PNY 8800GT(About 4 months old)
Opteron 144(One of the best overclockers but fortunately, I only overclocked it by 200 MHz so...not enough to kill the cpu. It is about 3 years old though)

Any ideas? Thanks.

ok, I did the following.

-replugged all the wires and same thing.
-removed all wires and tried running with only psu wire and videocard wire. Same thing.
-tried monitor on another pc and there were no problems so monitor is fine.
-reseated my 8800gt. same problem.
-tried 6800GS(perfectly good condition and I know it works.) Same problem.
-tried cmos reset. same problem.

Any ideas on what to try next?

i'd beg, borrow or buy a digital multimeter($20) and check the 12v rail on the psu.
