A quick glance at the Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 and it’s obvious we aren’t dealing your momma’s average mouse. While normally gaming mice steal all the spotlight, Evoluent is focusing on computer users with concerns about the biomechanics of a typical mouse.
For a mouse that, at first glance, appeared to only be needed for old fogies with severe carpul-tunnel we ended up rather impressed by some of it’s features. The included software went beyond any thing that our grandma’s would use and turned out to be something that any enthusiast might find handy. Also included was the infrared sensor with gaming performance sensitivity.
Most enthusiasts will be quick to shy away from such an expensive and unnattractive mouse. Fortunately for Evoluent, their target audience is users that are looking to be able to use a computer mouse without concerns of biomechanical issues, and our guess is that those people will be able to overlook those features that the average enthusiast would consider negative.
