EPOX - EPoX 8RDA6+ Pro nForce 2 Ultra 400 Motherboard Review

September 8th 2004 | Hardware

Epox has long made excellent motherboards with a affordable price. We were excited to see that they had a new board headed our way. Today we will look at the 8RDA6+ Pro which combines the nForce 2 Ultra 400 with the MCP features from the nForce 2 250GB. Yes, that is right Nvidia’s excellent SATA RAID and Gigabit Ethernet with driver firewall! Now Athlon XP users can take advantage of what AMD64 users have enjoyed. Before we start testing the board lets take a look at the specs.

…Epox has not given up on the Athlon XP, and AMD fans should be happy. With the upgrade to the latest Nvidia features of GigE and SATA RAID it enhances the Athlon XP platform keeping it up with the Athlon 64. Epox has included plenty of enthusiasts aimed options with the 8RDA6+ Pro. Anyone looking seriously at building a new Athlon XP system, or perhaps upgrading a board based on an older chipset should look at this board. With the 8RDA6+ Pro Epox has raised the bar for Athlon XP and Sempron Socket A motherboards.
