EPOX – EPoX 8RDA3+ nForce2 Mainboard Review

EPoX 8RDA+ was highly sought after when it was released. The current version of 8RDA+ has also begun using the new stepping of the chipset. Although 8RDA+ is a good choice, some users would like to have more features on board. The 8RDA3+ is the one board that has all these ready for you. 8RDA3+ comes with dual LAN, SATA RAID, IEEE 1394, Dual Channel DDR, 6 channel audio and support for the Barton 400Mhz CPU.

EPoX 8RDA3+ comes with 5 PCI slots and 1 AGP slot. The on board audio codec used is Cmedia 9739Al. This board uses a 3 phase voltage regulator design is implemented with +12v aux power connector for stable 12v line. At the back panel, there are 4 USB ports, 6 channel audio ports and 2 LAN ports (supported by Realtek and nVIDIA). The on board SATA RAID is supported by SiliconImage Sil3112chip. 2 channels of IDE ATA133. 1394 supported (white connectors) by agero fw323-60 chipset
