EPOX - EPoX 8RDA+ = FIC AU11 = ENMIC 8NAX+?

January 21st 2003 | Hardware

I’m not sure which topic image to use for this one ;o)

‘Anon’ sends word that the EPoX 8RDA+ could possibly be the exact same board as the recently announced FIC AU11. He says, “someone in ExtremeSystems forum even flashed the FIC bios to the 8RDA and it worked!”

Here’s a snip from the thread:

“Check the link to the review within there.
Then lift the motherboard sticker on your board (the “8RDA+” sticker next to the dimms) and report back with what it says underneath (if anything). To get this started mine says “AU-11″…”

Fic = Epox? @ xtremesystems.org

Meanwhile, lurking over at the OCworkbench forum, I found a thread claiming the ENMIC 8NAX+ board is also an EPoX 8RDA+:

“the 8rda+ is really hard to get here in Germany, so i looked if ENMIC has already made a twin for that board- and yes, hehe, and much cheaper than Epox, now i’m a proud owner of a ENMIC 8NAX+ .
Below in my pics you’ll see, that’s it’s absolutely the same board, even the heatsink. And it’s also Rev. 1.1, hehe. I got all the brackets which the 8rda+ comes with also…”

I’m joining the 8RDA+ club, but with an 8NAX+ @ ocworkbench.com

Lots of comparison pics between the Epox 8RDA+ and FIC AU11 can be found over at the AOAForum, in this thread: Epox 8RDA+ and FIC AU11 are IDENTICAL, where you’ll see there are a few variations between the boards, but they do indeed look mighty similar…

If you’ve any thoughts on this please post them in the forum.source: email
