Elitegroup (ECS) has been in the mainboard business for sometime now but just recently have entered the DIY enthusiast market with their Extreme series boards. The PF5 is their top shelf Intel 775 mainboard sporting the 945 chipset that handles SATA2, RAID5, dual core, DDR2, and dual PCI-E graphics support. The PF5 has many more features than are present on much more expensive boards and yet is manufactured with high quality and standards.
For a $118 board with SATAII, Raid5, and a ton of features and bundle items the PF5 is great for the DIY enthusiast or high end business/server system. The performance is equal to much more expensive boards I have used in the past and it is very stable as well. The high speed fans and front audio header may be an issue for some owners. The PF5 gets a 9 out of 10 score.
