SLI, Overclocking, BIOS restoration and a funky colour scheme make up some of this boards features. ECS once had a name of inexpensive, go to market with a basic product set solution. It appears they are trying to come out of their shell with their EliteGroup division. The ECS KN1 SLI Extreme is a dramatic step in the right direction. Performance is on or above par with arguably the leader in the enthusiasts’ space, DFI. They have positioned themselves well and are probably a flash or two away from an all out competitive motherboard, never mind the price advantage.
Little things like “Top-Hat” and 6 SATAII connectors, not to mention the only motherboard I know of supporting the eSATAII standard to date just adds more strength to the enthusiast image that ECS wants to portray with this lineup. Bravo ECS, you have put together a nice solution (albeit a colorful one), I am proud to say that my main motherboard is an ECS KN1 SLI Extreme.
