Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) is showcasing two NVIDIA SLI motherboards, the KN1 SLI Extreme and PN1 SLI Extreme, at Computex Taipei 2005 in Taiwan.
KN1 SLI Extreme supports Socket 939 Athlon 64 FX and Athlon 64 CPU/System Bus 2000 MT/s. Designed for the most demanding enthusiasts and gamers, the KN1 SLI Extreme provides features including Scalable D.G.E., NVIDIA nTuneTM and 8-channel audio.
Scalable D.G.E. produces increased, supercharged 3D graphics performance and supports simultaneously display on up to four devices while leveraging NVIDIA SLI technology, enabling two connected SLI-ready graphics cards to work jointly and efficiently to enhance overall graphics performance up to 70 percent. Users can also take advantage of the PCI Express architecture by plugging in any single PCI Express graphics card.
NVIDIA nTuneTM is provided to quickly and easily optimise PC performance by automatically detecting applications and setting safe overclocking. These unique capabilities enable the KN1 SLI Extreme to operate at speeds up to 2 GHz. Better yet, 8-channel audio is accommodated for a premium home theater experience.
Besides excellent generation of visual and sound effects, the KN1 SLI Extreme brings unmatched PC storage, security and overall system performance, engineered with the latest technology for greater storage and higher transfer rate.
eSATA and Port Multiplier allow expanded drive scalability to storage systems; SATAII and NCQ double the transfer speed up to 3.0Gb/s and enables efficient retrieval of data.
The PN1 SLI Extreme, ECS’ NVIDIA SLI solution motherboard, supports LGA775 socket Pentium 4 and Pentium D CPU, FSB 1066 MHz, DDR2 667 memory architecture as well as high-performance RAID (0, 1, 0+1, 5).
Besides featuring NVIDIA nTuneTM 8-channel audio, eSATA, Port Multiplier, SATAII and NCQ, NVIDIA SLI technology can also be leveraged on this Intel platform, delivering high-performance 3D graphics. Better yet, NVIDIA nTuneTM enables the PN1 SLI Extreme to operate at speeds up to 1.2 GHz.
Availability
The KN1 SLI Extreme will be available in June; the PN1 SLI Extreme will be
