Does DFI’s NF590 SLI based AM2 motherboard live up to their past legacy of strong overclocking performance? At first glace, the features and options are there, but does the board design follow through to give AM2 users high end performance:
For the bencher and overclocker who wants the most control possible over everything there is to have control over, the M2R/G certainly pulls through. However, I cannot recommend it to someone who is just getting started with overclocking, or does not have a lot of patience and motivation to find the optimal settings, although it is possible to overclock while leaving a lot of settings on Auto without ill effect. Just be careful with the voltage settings, both the Vcore and VDIMM can go high enough to kill hardware pretty quickly.
