If the performance of DFI’s LANParty NFII Ultra mobo has grabbed your attention but the UV reactive styling and plethora of accessories isn’t quite your bag you might want to look at the DFI NFII Ultra Infinity. Similar in layout to the new LANParty B version, this board’s red, white and blue styling is kinder on the eye, and with a low price tag of just $93, a lot kinder on your wallet too (LANParty NFII Ultra is available at $144). Here’s a snip from the review:
When DFI released their LanParty series of motherboards out to the gaming community, they sure did “defy” the limits of board cosmetics when they started using UV reactive colors for the various types of expansion slots. But if ultra-violet just isn’t your cup of tea, then the Infinity series aims to please almost everybody with the good ‘ole red, white and blue. I guess you could say that it adds a nice touch of freedom this board is suppose to exemplify to you when it is being used. By the way, the current revision of DFI’s new LanParty NFII Ultra B motherboard shares a near identical layout to this revision of the NFII Ultra Infinity that we are looking at today, so hopefully this review can provide you with a preview of what to expect with DFI’s newest LanParty.
. . . So, what has the DFI NFII Ultra Infinity motherboard ultimately shown to us in its’ entirety? Well, we can honestly say that this motherboard is one of the fastest platforms available for your K7 setup that can seemingly provide you with an infinite number of configurations and expandability options for all areas of your PC. After all, the NFII Ultra Infinity is only the second motherboard to earn three perfect sectional scores in the MBReview overall score. However, the one and only item that is keeping the NFII Ultra Infinity from earning an award today is because of a very questionable decision of the processor socket design that could possibly lead to incomplete motherboard installation and/or improper operation
