Dell’s brand-new desktop workstation line has been designed to set a new standard for balancing performance, scalability and value while handling some of the most demanding applications. Complementing the recently announced Precision 690 and Precision 490 workstations, the Precision 390 (from £599 ex. VAT) features the latest OpenGL graphics to manipulate high-resolution images and innovative dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo (formerly known as Conroe) and Extreme processors to deliver dramatic performance improvements for applications ranging from 3D entertainment to 3D engineering design.
As expected from Dell, the company has pushed the performance and scalability envelope for industry-standard professional workstations. Not surprisingly, the system blew the doors off every machine we’ve ever tested on almost every benchmark, especially processor-intensive programs consisting of animations, video, and multi-track audio. Highly Recommended.
