The Cyber Snipa brand is all about PC gaming and their peripherals aim to be high quality while keeping prices reasonable. Enter the Scout webcam. Now while webcams typically are not at the forefront of a gamer’s arsenal, motion-tracking games that put a person directly into the action are becoming more common as well as in-game video chat with other players. Security is very important these days also and webcams hooked to computer systems allow surveillance video to be captured and then uploaded to a website or emailed.
..For $20, the Scout webcam is worth the purchase. It takes good still shots, decent video, and has a built in microphone. Its small size makes it ultra portable and I would have liked to see Cyber Snipa include a carrying case. It stays put when clipped onto an LCD monitor but can also stand on its own and be moved around with a five foot cord to work with. On the downside, the included software isn’t the best and the onboard lights are pretty much useless, but don’t let that discourage you from giving the Scout a closer look. For basic webcam functions it works great.
