Corsair TwinX1024 3200XL Memory Review

August 27th 2004 | Memory

As an nForce2 Ultra 400 user I’ve come to appreciate the agility and stability of my system with the bus speed set to 400MHz.. ..With larger projects being dropped on my desk, I needed more than half a gig of RAM and more performance to handle the increasing intensity of the work. The TwinX-3200LL stayed in my system past chances to upgrade. Massive overclocking isn’t my style, which left much of the newer PC3500 and faster memory off my personal radar. For some reason, ultra-low latency memory was caught up in the high speed craze and didn’t really create that much of a buzz.

Enter Corsair’s newest addition to their DDR RAM family, the TwinX1024-3200XL Pro. Weighing in at one gigabyte and packed in Corsair’s inventive Pro casing that provides not only easier handling but visual activity monitors as well, this RAM brings the spotlight back to those who tune their system with finesse and not brute force. With 5-2-2-2 timings as the standard setting, the TwinX-3200XL Pro RAM sets a new low in the memory market.

…Corsair’s TwinX1024-3200XL Pro memory stands out as a major player in a very crowded memory market. The module design is among the most unique and most useful in the industry, and the extra-tight default 5-2-2-2 timings give lots of headway for tweaking and overclocking. This RAM is an excellent option for those looking to step up to a gigabyte of RAM or those looking for some highly-tweakable memory. If RAM is on your list of things to buy, look no further than here. Corsair has hit another home run, and this time it’s out of the park.

+ Larger grip area makes installation much easier
