The pair of TwinX 3200XL 512MB DIMMs that we tested are officially rated to run at 200 MHz, with timings of 2-2-2-5. This goes for every platform, be it AthlonXP, Athlon64 or Pentium4. Our benchmarks showed that the performance of the TwinX 3200XL DDR memory at stock speeds was outstanding! In terms of overclocking, we were able to hit a very respectable 225 MHz on the Athlon64 system with the most aggressive memory timings available. With the Intel test system, things were even better… The TwinX 3200XL DDR reached as high as 260 MHz, using 2.5-3-3-7 timings. That’s better than a lot of PC4000 rated memory that PCstats has tested! To top it all off, Corsair has one of the best warranties in the industry.
With a retail price of $299 CDN ($251 US), the Corsair TwinX 3200XL memory is priced aggressively, and I’d recommend you grab a pair for your rig, even if you like to run at stock speeds.
