Corsair Survivor GT USB Flash Drive Review

September 26th 2007 | Storage

While I didn’t back my car over the Survivor to “crash test” it, the drive has a solid feel, and certainly looks like it could stand up to quite a bit of abuse. The water resistance is a nice plus, given that the drive is meant to be carried around, leading to the possibility of dropping it in a puddle, toilet, swimming pool, etc. You can rest assured that the Survivor will handle it all.

The inclusion of an encryption program in TrueCrypt is a very nice addition, and, unlike some vendors, is a full version, not a time-limited or feature-limited demo version. Installation of the program is painless, and provides a good level of security in case of loss or theft. All in all, a very solid performer, and one I can heartily recommend.
