Club 3D X1600XT x 2 Works in Crossfire

We managed to prove that you can run two X1600 XT cards in Crossfire. You don’t need the master card for it - you just need two X1600 based cards. We plugged them in an Asus A8R-MVP motherboard and the card instantly worked.

You need to use Catalyst 5.13, as the older drivers won’t recognise the cards. We had a non WHQLd 5.13 driver but it worked just fine. We paired ATI reference X1600XT sample with Club3D X1600XT retail sample running at 590 MHz core and 1380 MHz memory.
