CHAINTECH - Chaintech Zenith 7NJS Review @ Sudhian

January 16th 2003 | Hardware

Sudhian has reviewed Chaintech’s all-singing, all-dancing nForce2 SPP motherboard - the Chaintech Zenith 7NJS. Joel Hruska’s benchmark results show a marked performance increase when using Chaintech provided nForce drivers over NVIDIA’s. Here’s a snip:

The Zenith Series 7NJS is one of the best total motherboard packages we’ve ever seen, bar none. The board itself is fast, extremely stable, and overclocks all the way to its limit, its feature set is excellent, and the value-added options inherent to the Zenith line are tailor-made for an enthusiast. If you’re looking for an all-in-one motherboard package with the kind of carefully chosen hardware you acquire from building your own system, the Zenith 7NJS is one of the best nForce2 options available. With that said, we do have a few nitpicks. A motherboard line titled “Zenith” really does imply an absolutely outstanding product, and we’d have liked to see a slightly different version of the 7NJS motherboard, preferably one with NVIDIA’s integrated sound, a larger gap between the AGP and DIMM slots, no ACR slot, and maybe even the dual NIC function, though that’s less crucial.
