Tryx Reyes follows up the initial Chaintech ZENITH 7NJS nForce2 Motherboard Review @ OCTools.com after receiving a new BIOS (7njs0b18) from Chaintech - ZENITH Multiplier Update.

Lots of BIOS and benchmark screenshots - don’t miss the download link to the new BIOS…

We have just updated our Chaintech ZENITH 7VJS nForce2 review using a new BIOS that has the multiplier option. Finally, we can push the board to its limits and see up to how high it would go. Did it disappoint or not?.

Chaintech ZENITH nForce2 UpdateThis new BIOS unlocked my XP2400+ automatically so I didn’t have to go through all the trouble of unlocking it. Amazingly all multipliers combination worked with the exception of 12.5x (multiplier for XP2000+) because it was not even there in the multiplier options. I don’t know why it wasn’t included there. However I tried an XP2000+ and it was sure recognized as an XP2000+ with the multiplier option at default. Anyway, with the multiplier option now available for the Chaintech ZENITH 7NJS nForce2 motherboard, everything is now available for overclocking…
…The highest rock solid mhz overclock I could achieve with this XP2400+ using air cooling is 2.303 Ghz (11 x 177) while the highest rock solid FSB overclock achieved with this ZENITH board is 188mhz FSB. Definitely a very good fsb overclock if you ask me but some might find it below their expectations. However at 2.255 Ghz (12 x 188mhz FSB) the benchmarks gathered were short of amazing for the setup we used.
