CHAINTECH - Chaintech 7NJS Ultra ZENITH Review

October 23rd 2003 | Hardware

Andy Zen takes a look at Chaintech’s 7NJS Ultra ZENITH, also includes a mini-review of the bundled CBox2 multi-function panel. Here’s a few snippets (watch out for those pop-ups):

Chaintech is a lesser-known brand, one that is overlooked and/or cast aside when purchasing motherboards. With their new Zenith series, Chaintech is attempting to make their products noticed by the market. The Chaintech 7NJS Ultra Zenith is a motherboard based on nVidia’s nForce 2 Ultra 400 chipset, which is the newest revision designed for 400 FSB operation. However, the motherboard we are reviewing today has more than just a chipset upgrade. Compared to the previous Zenith board, there are other differences to the package.

The Chaintech 7NJS Ultra Zenith is a very impressive board, as it offers some of the most complete packages right out of the box. In terms of hardware bundles, there is no equal (where else can you find a remote control and flash card reader in the same box?) However, as described earlier, many of the extras are little more than gimmicks, although with some better driver support from Chaintech, I would probably buy this in a heartbeat.
